Messaging on whatsapp is still working but downloading of images, voice notes, and videos is failing… Facebook messenger is also having troubles

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp went down in SA as a crisis hit a internet security firm
The first network issues were reported shortly before 16:00 today.
This follows similar outages of popular South African websites such as Takealot.com, MyBroadband and News24.com in the past week.
The outages appear to be connected to US cybersecurity firm Cloudflare which has been affected by an outage at telecommunications provider Verizon.
Cloudflare has been responsible for downtime on several websites across the globe the past week, including BuzzFeed, Medium, Soundcloud and Canva.
