One of Mamelodi Sundowns central defenders’ immediate future is currently being discussed behind the scenes.
According to Siya sources, Soumahoro Bangaly has not yet been registered for the current 2018/19 season as well as for their CAF Champions League campaign.
Sundowns previously had a foreign predicament to deal with, however, with Jeremy Brockie now registered as a local player and Brimah Razak making the move away from the Chrlookop-based club, it seems that Masandawana have enough quota spots for their foreign players.
Although Razak’s exit is yet to be confirmed by the club, Sundowns currently have Gaston Sirino, Jose Ali Meza, Toni Silva, Ricardo Nascimento and Bangaly on their books as foreigners.
However, at this point in time, the immediate future of Bangaly is yet to be decided on, with the Ivorian yet to make an appearance in Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s match day squads.
The defender has previously been linked with a move away from the club and it remains to be seen whether he will continue on the Brazilians’ books once the transfer window closes shut on August 31.
