Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have shown an interest in one of Bidvest Wits’ Bafana Bafana internationals, however, are thought to be one of several clubs keeping tabs on him.
Reeve Frosler, who turned 20 earlier this year, has surprisingly been left in the stands by Gavin Hunt so far this season, with Thulani Hlatshwayo taking on the role of right back as the veteran defender, Vuyo Mere, was brought in as his backup.
Mere’s arrival has seen Frosler drop out of Wits’ matchday squad, and – as things stand – he is still waiting for his first appearance of the 2018/19 season.
With just one year left on his current deal with the Clever Boys, the Siya crew have been informed that Chiefs are keeping an eye on the talented young international, with the club potentially seeing him as a long-term replacement for Ramahlwe Mphahlele.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, Chiefs may face a fight for his signature if they do pursue it though, with other clubs said to be keen on him, though his agency, Siyavuma Sports Group, were unavailable for comment by the time of going to print.
Frosler will be able to sign a pre-contract elsewhere in January as he enters into the last six months of his deal, though at the moment there are no indications of where he will be playing his football next season.
