Kaizer Chiefs team becoming better and better

Kaizer Chiefs Football Club is becoming better and better. The management of the team seems to have noticed their previous mistakes of signing players which were not good enough for the team of Chiefs’ caliber. Most of the players signed previously were free agents and that did not go well with the supporters of the team due to their poor performances.

The recent signing of Gustavo Paez is something that the supporters have been waiting for in a while. The Italian has impressed the technical team regarding all aspects of being a great striker. Although he does not possess a great scoring record, Paez is something that Chiefs has been looking for in the market for a long time.

According to a few friendly matches he has played so far, Paez has done wonderful and his first touch is out of this world. He has managed to score a few goals in friendly games played by Chiefs during the AFCON break. Paez will be partnering Camaldien Abraw upfront for Chiefs as they are looking forward to play two strikers in their formation.

The other change that Kaizer Chiefs has done to make things much better is that of signing Joseph Malongoane from Chippa United. The youngster has played a few games for Chiefs so far and has not disappointed. He has been out of action for a longtime due to the problems he had with Chippa United as they were claiming that he has signed a new contract with them. Joseph has previously played for Orlando Pirates and was released.

Management of the team has been under pressure from supporters for a longtime and Bobby was once asked to resign as he was blamed for all problems regarding players at Chiefs. Bobby has now listened to the supporters and the team has started releasing all underperforming players like Sphelele Mthembu and Edward Manqele who are currently looking for a team to play for.

Siyanda Xulu who was signed a few seasons ago for a Russian team has not performed at all at Chiefs and he is said to be earning a lot of money every month while doing nothing for the team. From last week’s reports from the local media, Xulu has indicated that he is now ready to fight for a starting spot at the team. He will be up against the likes of Eric Mathoho and Lorenzo Gordinho who are on top form at the team’s defense.

Chiefs are currently lying fourth on the league log and are looking forward to challenge for the Absa Premiership title. The champions are Mamelodi Sundowns and Chiefs are looking forward to win the title to qualify for the CAF Champions League next year as they are the only South African top side without winning the CAF Champions League.

The Nedbank Cup draw has been done and Chiefs are facing the minnows again and are known not to be too good playing the unknowns. This is another trophy that Chiefs are eying and they are currently planning to grab it as it also provides a chance to play in CAF competitions.

Chiefs are not that bad and fans are looking forward to watch Paez in action soon.
