Kaizer Chiefs midfielder says they will come back stronger in the new season

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Joseph Molangoane is hopeful that the club will come back stronger next season.

Molangoane was on target as Chiefs defeated Ajax Cape Town 2-1 in their final Absa Premiership clash of the season.

The Soweto giants finished the season without silverware for a third successive campaign, although they did secure CAF Confederation Cup football for next term.

“The three points, it was all we wanted and we got it,” Molangoane told SuperSport TV after the game.

“At Chiefs, you must win trophies. It is a team of trophies.

“I could play well but if you don’t bring the silverware for your team then it’s not enough.

“Next season I hope we are going to come back strong and give it our supporters.

“Now we are playing in CAF next season and hopefully the supporters can appreciate what we gave them this season.”
