Kaizer Chiefs legend says Chiefs needs a striker like Mamelodi Sundowns’ Columbian striker

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Pollen Ndlanya has had his say on Leonardo Castro’s potential move to Naturena.

Our source revealed the details about Chiefs’ reported intentions to sign the out-of-favour Mamelodi Sundowns striker and Ndlanya has said that he believes it would be a good acquisition for Steve Komphela’s team.

“He would be a very good buy if he goes to Chiefs,” the former Amakhosi frontman told Soccer Laduma. “We know that he’s a good player that’s capable of scoring goals and I think he can partner well with (Gustavo) Paez.”

The 47-year-old went on to say that Castro has all the qualities needed to fill the void needed to complete Chiefs’ attack.

“Although, he needs game time as well,” he added. “He hasn’t been playing at Sundowns, but the striker’s position is there for him to take, because he’s a good player, capable of scoring goals and Chiefs have everything they need going forward, but they need a good striker that can put in the finishing touches like Leonardo can.”
