Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Hendrick Ekstein is expected to meet with the club’s management soon to discuss his future with the Soweto giants.
Ekstein’s deal at Naturena expires in June next year, with the Glamour Boys yet to indicate if they will renew it.
If Chiefs are unwilling to extend his stay, the 27-year-old will be legally able to negotiate a pre-contract with any other side in January.
Ekstein’s agent Palesa Mkhize said: “Yes, it’s true that Pule’s contract with Chiefs is set to expire in June next year.
“But I am confident that we will meet with the club during the short break to discuss his future.”
Ekstein has scored once and provided an assist in 11 appearances in all competitions this season.
He was promoted to the Amakhosi first team in 2015/16 after impressing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge.
