Dove Wome is a wanted man in South African football, with three clubs now believed to have shown an interest in potentially bringing him on board this season.
The 27-year-old attacker has been playing for Gomido FC in Togolese First Division of late – even helping them win the Coupe du Togo last month – however, it was always seen as a short-term solution as he plotted a return to the Absa Premiership.
It was reported by the Siya crew recently that Absa Premiership newcomers, Highlands Park, were eager to trying and land his signature, and it now appears that Black Leopards and Bloemfontein Celtic are also keen to try and make something happen.
Wome has played for the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United during his years in South Africa’s top-flight, and is a proven goalscorer at this level, a characteristic that his potential suitors will be hoping to see more of if they complete a move.
The crew will continue to monitor the player’s situation in the coming weeks to see if a move materialises for the former Free State Stars man or not.
