Siboniso Gaxa’s business manager Glyn Binkin is unsure of the defender’s plans this season given his studying commitments.
The 34-year-old Gaxa parted ways with Ajax Cape Town after his short-term contract with the NFD club expired at the end of June.
‘Pa’, as the player is affectionately known, only played three times for the Urban Warriors.
“He is not with the team, no. His contract finished end of June,” Binkin told our source.
Asked if there are any offers on the table for his client’s services, Binkin replied: “No, not at the moment.
“He is focusing on his studies at the moment as well.
“I don’t know at this stage [if he will be playing football this season]. I’m not sure yet.”
The ex-Bafana Bafana star remains at odds with former team Kaizer Chiefs. He believes he had two years left on his contract with the Naturena-based side when they announced his departure in July 2016. SAFA’s arbitrators were called in after the PSL DRC ruled in favour of Chiefs on the matter.
