Maritzburg United proved too strong for Bloemfontein Celtic as they recorded a 4-0 win at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday evening.
Siyanda Xulu almost opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a downward header inside the box, but Patrick Tignyemb managed to collect the effort under pressure.

Fadlu Davids’ charges were dominating after half-an-hour as they took the initiative to attack, while Siwelele were waiting for their chances on counter-attacks.
However, Pogiso Sanoka made it 1-0 to the home side in the 38th minute with a diving header inside the box following some impressive build up play.
Davids’ troops kept their composure in the last seven minutes of the half to preserve their lead as they went into the break leading.
Mohau Mokate had an easy task of tapping into the back of the net two minutes after the break following a good square pass across the face of goal, 2-0.
The Team of Choice started sat deep in their own half after the hour mark, as Celtic looked to restore parity in the encounter.

Evans Rusike rounded off an impressive night for Maritzburg with a powerful effort from close range to make it 4-0.
