Lucas Radebe Jr could be following in the footsteps of his father in England, with the teenager having been given a chance to impress at Leeds United.
Radebe Snr is a club legend in Yorkshire having spent over a decade playing for Leeds, achieving a level of stardom that has seen him have a beer – Radebeer – named after him and a suite at Elland Road named in his honour.
The former Bafana Bafana international, who played for Kaizer Chiefs before leaving South African shores, was in England for Leeds’ opening game of the 2018/19 season, and it has since been revealed that his son is there as well.
According to Siya sources, Radebe Jr, a 19-year-old striker, is spending around a week training with the club’s U23s on trial, with the youngster hoping to land himself a contract with the English Championship outfit.
The crew will continue to keep tabs on Radebe’s situation to see whether he is able to follow in his father’s footsteps in Yorkshire.
