An Orlando Pirates attacker is the most high-profile player who will miss this weekend’s games in the Absa Premiership due to suspension, though he’s not the only one.
The 24-year-old Bernard Morrison picked up his fourth yellow card of the season in the Nedbank Cup defeat to Cape Town City earlier in the week, and will now be forced to sit out the encounter with Golden Arrows this coming Saturday.
Pirates need to pick up three points if they plan to keep up the pace on Mamelodi Sundowns, but Milutin Sredojevic will have to do it without the Ghanaian.
Among the other absentees are Chippa United’s James Okwuosa – who has played every single minute for the Chilli Boys so far – as well as Nyiko Mobbie and Rooi Mahamutsa of Free State Stars, all of whom will miss the clash between the two sides on Saturday.
This evening, as Maritzburg United take on Polokwane City, the hosts will be missing their captain, Bevan Fransman, while the visitors will be without Sibusiso Sikhosana and lynchpin, Jabu Maluleke.
Lastly, on the technical side of things, relegation-threatened Platinum Stars will once again have Roger de Sa missing from the bench after his red card earlier this month.
