Siya sources have revealed that both Supersport United and Cape Town City are linked with out-of-favour Orlando Pirates winger Thabo Rakhale.
The skilful wide man has found it difficult to establish himself under coach, Milutin Sredojevic, with sources further indicating that the midfielder has grown unhappy and frustrated at the lack game-time at Pirates compared to when the team was led by Eric Tinkler.
Since the arrival of the Serbian coach, the 27-year-old dribbler has fallen down the pecking order as the preferred left-sided midfielder losing his place to the likes of Thabo Qalinge and Luvuyo Memela.
Sources close to the player have indicated that Rakhale could link up with his former coach Eric Tinkler at SuperSport United. Siya sources have also indicated that Cape Town City could be looking at roping in the midfielder to provide the much-needed depth in their midfield department.
“Thabo is a good player with a professional attitude towards his game. All he wants to do is play football and he has a lot to offer with his unique brand of football,” said the Siya source.
“The current coach’s system favours speed over creativity and that’s why Rakhale has seen little game-time this season. He still continues to work hard and remain professional,” added the source.
In the current campaign, Rakhale has made only four league appearances, starting once with three substitutes in the 10 league games Pirates have played.
