Orlando Pirates supporters are still waiting for their team to make an official signing since the opening of the transfer window last week.
It has been an interesting and exciting window so far as team seem to mean business with all the signings we have witnessed so far. However, the Buccaneers have been quiet, although there have been several players linked with the club.
Supporters Club’s Lerato Mkhondo caught up with Bucs fan Mpendulo Sityoyi who vented his frustration, saying the club does not respect its supporters.
Lerato: Fam! You sent us a couple of tweets asking about Pirates’ possible signings. If your tweets are anything to go by, you sounded really frustrated?
Mpendulo:Yerrr! Pirates are letting us down. Look, I’m a big Bucs supporter and it’s frustrating to see my beloved team treat us like this. It’s like Khoza does not care. They (Pirates) know very well that we need to sign players! Most of the players that were linked to us have been snatched by other teams. We are on the verge of losing Brockie, whom we desperately need, because Pirates do not care!
I understand asking for R12 million is a bit too much considering Brockie’s age. That’s fine, but if they couldn’t meet SuperSport United’s demands then they must use the money they had offered them to sign Thulani Hlatshwayo and Evans Rusike, it’s that simple!
Khoza and company need to stop running our team like a spaza shop. Look, now we are missing out on our targets! Imagine if Hlatshwayo is snatched by another team, who are we going to be left with to sign? All Pirates know is sign players from the NFD, who add no value to the team. It’s frustrating and disappointing, maan!
