One of Mamelodi Sundowns’ stars could link up with Lebogang Manyama in Turkey during the upcoming January transfer window period.
Khama Billiat has been linked with a move to Europe for quite some time now, after the player’s impressive performances for the Brazilians, on both domestic and continental fronts.
The 27-year-old Zimbabwean attracted interest from clubs in Belgium, Russia and Italy in the past, with a Saudi Arabian outfit the latest club to have shown interest in the player’s services.
It was previously reported that Billiat was linked with a move to Al-Nasser, however, the Saudi Arabian side eventually withdrew their interest in the player.
The Siya crew has since been informed that Billiat has been offered to a Turkish outfit, with sources adding they are trying to broker a deal with Atiker Konyaspor, the club Manyama joined up with during the past July/August transfer window.
However, sources have added that there have only been informal enquiries and at this stage, there is nothing official yet.
Billiat is currently in the final year of his contract with Masandawana and as previously reported by the crew, the player is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal at the club.
As things stand, the Zimbabwean will be free to pen a pre-contract with any interested suitor come January next year, however, this only if the player does not sign the new deal tabled to him by Sundowns.
