Joseph Molangoane thinks that Kaizer Chiefs’ work in training is coming to fruition as they look to continue their current unbeaten run this weekend against Baroka FC.
Molangoane has taken on a new role with the Amakhosi at wingback due to a number of injuries in Steve Komphela’s side and picked up another Man of the Match award last week for his part in their 2-0 victory over Polokwane City.
Now, with Komphela and his side seeking to close the gap on Mamelodi Sundowns, ‘Tight’ is pleased with the progress that they appear to be making.
He told the club’s official website, “We have targets to meet… There’s nothing much that has changed in my approach. I have accepted a new role in the team and seizing the moment. I am glad to be able to reproduce in the game what we practised during the week. It all starts at training, we plan for the game and play according to the coach’s instructions. We just love it when the plan comes together.
“I am glad to contribute to the bigger picture in the team. It is work in progress for me and the team. We are looking forward to the next game with the intention to improve and keep up the momentum.”
Chiefs travel to Baroka this weekend, and could potentially be just two points behind Masandawana by Monday morning if results go their way.
