News reaching the Siya crew is that Kaizer Chiefs are in talks with Free State Stars for the services of one of their star players.
Sinethemba Jantjie has been linked with a move away from the Bethlehem-based side since last year, and it was recently revealed that a potential swap deal between the two clubs would be discussed.
At the time it was reported that William Twala could be part of a swap deal that would see Jantjie join Chiefs. Twala, who has fallen out of favour at Naturena under Coach Steve Komphela, has been linked with an exit over the past few months.
Siya sources have now confirmed that talks to bring Jantjie to the Soweto giants have been initiated, as Chiefs aim to beef up their squad for the second half of the 2017/18 season.
According to Siya sources, talks are underway, and if all goes according to plan, the 28-year-old could be heading to Chiefs in the new year.
Jantjie will see his contract with Stars expire at the end of the current season, though the club does have an option to extend his spell further.
