Kaizer Chiefs are looking to hand Brian ‘Spiderman’ Baloyi a permanent role within the Amakhosi coaching setup.
Baloyi was appointed as the interim goalkeeper coach at the Soweto giants following the sudden passing of Alex Revoredo, with Amakhosi at the time on the lookout to find a permanent successor for the Brazilian, whose passing left the club and everyone who knew him, devastated.
However, our source was informed that Chiefs are considering offering Spiderman the role of goalkeeper coach on a permanent basis.
The former Amakhosi player has been with the club for several years, working with the youth academy and it now appears that he could be handed a permanent role within the first team setup, taking over from the late former goalkeeper coach, Revoredo.
Our source sought to make contact with Chiefs’ Corporate Communications Manager, Vina Maphosa, for comment on the current goalkeeper coaching situation, however, had not yet received a response.
