Kaizer Chiefs’ African players on trials told to stop

Komphela has been running the rule over two foreigners since Amakhosi started their pre-season training

PSL giants Kaizer Chiefs’ two foreign trialists have reportedly stopped training with the Soweto giants.

Malian defender Mahamadou Traore and Zimbabwean midfielder Tanaka Chinyahara started training with Amakhosi last week hoping to impress coach Steve Komphela.

Earlier in the year Chinyahara reportedly trained with Zimabwean Premier Soccer League (ZPSL) giants Dynamos, but a deal failed to materialise.

The 21-year-old midfielder has once again failed to earn himself a deal according to the latest reports.

Traore’s representative has confirmed that his client has left Amakhosi, even though, the club was keen to keep him for further assessment.

It is said that the defender has concrete offers lined up for him elsewhere hence he has decided to stop training with Chiefs.

The Soweto giants only have one available foreign spot left on their books, following the departure of Camaldine Abraw.

However, Mitchelle Katsvairo is likely to leave the Chiefs as he has been made available on loan during the current Transfer Window.
